Biographical Information

Lee Morgan holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied with Elizabeth Mannion and Flora Wendt. She has been a guest soloist for the Piedmont Chamber Singers, Carolina Baroque, The Piedmont Choral Ensemble, the Wilkes Chamber Singers, and the Mount Desert Island (ME) Summer Chorale. She can be heard on the Carolina Baroque recordings Arias, Duets and Ballet Music from Handel Operas and Bach: Music to Challenge the Intellect and Touch the Heart.

On stage, she has played such roles as the Mothers in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Hansel and Gretel, and Albert Herring, and Nettie in Carousel.

She has taught voice privately and as an adjunct instructor for local colleges for a number of years and is currently an adjunct instructor of voice at Wake Forest University.

She has conducted musicals for The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, including The Music Man, Kiss Me, Kate and Brigadoon.

Ms. Morgan is also a section leader for the Adult Choir at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem.
